I was pulled over in December of 2016 in Roberts Idaho by Jefferson county officer Tyler wray for sliding on the ice going about 25 miles an hour. He immediately asks me who the other jackass ahead of me was in which I told him I don't know. Then he asks if he was my buddy so I decided that I do t have to deal with this guy's attitude and told him I don't answer questions. Then he goes on and lies to me goes back to his car and my phone battery died so I didn't get video when he came back. He gave me reckless driving ticket that I fought in court. I talked to the sheriff and he told me that what the officer did was wrong and told me he had been severely reprimanded but it wasn't worth a mans career. I disagreed if I treated people in that manner I would be fired immediately from my job. When you take an oath to the constitution and probably have never read or at least you don't understand it you should be fired.
- Taylor Queensbury: ππππππsomeone is going to need a very good defense attorney!
- Rusty Shackelford: Exactly!
- Dave Gomez: dualsport rider
Are the police legally required to tell the truth?
- jmbeekeeper: jacktheripped to a suspect, individual, person, yes they can lie but if you use common sense by learning common law you can stop them from lying. Watch some Karl Lentz and learn your rights . 5th amendment is a joke .
- Dave Gomez: Rhead_neck nick
It's your legal obligation to identify yourself. Not handing over your driver's license is called "impeding a police investigation."
Besides, how are you being a witness against yourself by handing over your license? It's not like your ID says "yeah bro, he's drunk as fuck"
- Wild Bill: You have the right to remain silent- pretty much covers the right to not answer questions. They can investigate all day long, you can stay silent. If you invoke your right to stay silent, not be searched, get legal counsel, and other rights, you are being a citizen protected from tyranny. Now we have cameras to record the individuals that we are being protected against.
- David Obenour: It’s funny when a person takes one small part of amendment and forgets about the rest of it.
- Red_neck nick: If you tell him that ykur following the fith amendment then why the fucm wpuld you hand him any paper work . You dont not have to provide any verbal or documentation if you are not answering question
- Hulk Hogan: Every one of these low IQ pieces of shit cops should do the world a favor and fucking kill themselves
- John Keating: Adam kokesh would love to talk to you. He is running for the libertarian candidate for president. Email me Nicholasdhellmich@gmail.com
- dualsport rider: Dumb asses. Do they even realize there on film? U got a great court case. Go superior. Stay out of ur local courts. Call the state police and ask for internal affairs
- joe fisher: if a cop says jack ass it ill never hold in the court
- jacktheripped: I'm in Idaho as well and know perfectally how they are here. Idaho cops took the Supreme Court decision that says they can lie in a investigation to heart and those lies bleed over into the Court system. Watch this space, dude. I'm about to drop a bomb on a District Court Judge with a Complaint to the Idaho Judicial Council. You see, I caught the judge tampering with the Case File by altering Sworn Testimony to cover for his brother, Hizz "Honor", The Mayor.
- Gemini 7: thank you for your public service.
- Scott Hannan: Dave Gomez Where do you think the phrase “you have the right to remain silent“ comes from? Its source is the fifth amendment, and since you have no idea what trouble saying something might cause you, since so many things are illegal, staying silent is something any attorney would recommend.
- donald trump: Say that to Donald Trump I plead the 5th .
- bytemehrdr: Karma 5th Amendment boooyyyyy!
- Alexander Blair: The head of the Department of Justice Loretta Lynch used the 5th I believe
- Red_neck nick: Dave Gomez your correct but if hes going to tell the police that hes following the fith amendment then that means he doenst have to give them any verbal or documentation
- angryagain68: Yup! They made an entire TV series out of it called COPS. I never once saw a single person invoke any of their rights on that show. People are easy to manipulate. Cops are like vultures, picking on the weak and stupid. Stay strong. Keep quiet.
- kevin baker: "The 5th amendment means you're guilty" its asinine assumptions like that, that are getting unarmed innocent people shot all across the U.S.
- Robert Timlin: So did trump
- FatGuysCanSURF2 THOMAS: your a idiot if that's what you think the 5th amendment means
- Joshua Smith: All cops are bad.
- Paddy Casey: If only more people would take the 5th, see more and more videos of people talking themselves into cuffs
- Dave Gomez: The 5th Amendment does *not* mean "you don't have to answer questions." It means the government cannot force you to be a witness against yourself.
There is a such thing as "impeding an investigation," you know.
